Abstract
Describes the effects of geothermal activity on the surface of the ice cap. The jokulhlaups which periodically drain from the subglacial lake provide information about the fluid in the geothermal system, although this is not easy to interpret because of water-rock interaction. The triggering of jokulhlaups is also considered. -M.J.Bennell Baker
