Abstract

The dissolution of limestone added to a lake can be looked upon as a two stage process. The first stage is that of the sinking period during which the dissolution rate can be influenced by the method and the product used. During the second stage the limestone is resting on the bottom and the dissolution rate cannot be influenced to any large extent.
