Abstract

Since the early 1990s, rodent models of inflammatory bowel disease, particularly Crohn's disease, have been available. In this review, Bjorn R. Ludviksson and colleagues summarize the findings from these models, analyze their contribution to our understanding of the diseases, and highlight new emerging therapies developed on the basis of the models.
