Description

Students were generally very satisfied with the course and the teaching. It was mentioned that the instructor was well-organized and provided timely, effective feedback. The course material was considered highly interesting and useful, especially regarding how to better use the web and artificial intelligence. Students were also pleased with the setup of Canvas, which they found clear and easy to use. The assignments were seen as diverse and well-distributed throughout the course, and the grading system was considered fair and efficient. One student mentioned that the weekly discussions, in the beginning of the course, were very helpful for students to connect with each other and foster collaboration.

However, one student noted that there was too much reading material in the course, which left him with little time to experiment with what was learned. Another student felt that there was too much emphasis on artificial intelligence, which was not outlined in the syllabus (before the course started). Additionally, the timing of Zoom meetings, which were scheduled during lunchtime, was inconvenient. One student mentioned that they wanted better descriptions of assignments, particularly for the Search Guide project. Another said they would have preferred longer deadlines for discussion threads in Canvas, while another suggested that weekly quizzes would improve the course by deepening students' understanding of the material.
